"Pickling" tomatoes, zuchinni pickles and cucumbers
Tomatoes and cukes … oh my!

Now that we have all these beautiful tomatoes and nearly perfect cucumbers, what are we supposed to do with them? Have you already given your neighbors as many as they will take? Do you make your weekly contributions to the Food Pantries?

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers wanted and a green thumb is not needed!

Edible Evanston and its associated projects can use your help.

Two waivers are required to participate: one for Edible Evanston, and one for the City of Evanston. You can sign it on-site, but if you are under 18 years old a parent or guardian must sign.

It's easiest to sign using the online versions

    • City of Evanston waiver form
    • Edible Evanston and Climate Action Evanston form

The Edible Evanston/Climate Action Evanston release is also available here if you prefer to print it and bring a copy with you.

If you have questions, email our volunteer coordinator.

Watch this space for details on all our other opportunities, dates and requirements or contact us.
